Calaveras Montessori - Craft for creative kids

Kids are undoubtedly the most creative! Nurturing this creativity is the parents’ task. And to enhance it they should constantly indulge in tasks that help them explore their inbuilt creative self. Among the various activities for kids, crafts are quick and easy; require minimal equipment and materials while offering satisfyingly instant results. Quick results are important as even crafty kids like to be able see the fruits of their labour in action within minutes rather than hours!
There are numerous types of crafts available for children; parents need to explore the market to get the best ones for their lil ones. Many craft activities are adaptable to suit different ages and abilities that work well with individual children or a even large group. Don't worry that you need any great expertise or a huge amount of supplies and equipment. Crafting with children is all about having fun, experimenting, taking ideas that you see and adapting them to suit what you have available and what you think your children would enjoy most.
Parents could also create a craft area for their kids which is fun and at the same time motivating for the kids. Crafting areas can fill up a whole room or they can be little areas tucked in the corner of a kitchen or family room. A well organized space can keep children engaged in their work for hours. Make sure there is enough space for a friend and they will stay even longer.
This way kids would enjoy and create new stuff even while being with their little friends. This is a great way to learn more in a fun way.

FuGenx Technologies Pvt. Ltd | Tapping In To App

FuGenX counts customers from startup companies to Fortune 500 organisations across industries such as telecom healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, travel, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, banking and insurance. All this has seen it win accolades from companies like Deloitte, who in 2012, ranked it 16th amongst the Fast50 annual rankings.

We have made tremendous progress and have been able to leverage the disruptive technologies like mobility, social computing and unified communications to create solutions for our customers and have grown 326 per cent in last 3 years,” says Behera.

FuGenX develops and tests apps and games for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android, BlackBerry, Windows, Symbian mobile and Web application development.

As smartphone adoption increases, mobile usage is experiencing growth, especially the use of the mobile Web and applications. Consumers are heavily dependant on the mobile Web and applications to interact with friends and family through social media, as well as access, explore, buy and consume everything from content and services to information, entertainment and utilities from anywhere at any time and this, the company feels is its sweet spot.

Industry watchers believe that in the App development area, it is scale that matters as the ecosystem is still developing. This would need deep pockets. Realising this, FuGenX plans to go for its first round of funding and is trying to raise the money through both debt and equity based options. “We are also discussing with some potential foreign investors to invest in the company,” says Behera.

By now it is no secret that if you are an apps company, then you are part of the Internet gold rush. FuGenX, which as the name suggests caters to the future Gen X who are hugely into mobile apps and games on their iPhones.

According to market studies, there are more than 1 lakh apps developed for Android till date. These apps need to be tested for different platforms, screen sizes and other aspects of a device. Tapping into this is a Bangalore-based startup that decided to set up shop at almost the same time when the world economy saw one of its worst crisis in 2008.

The company, founded by Debhasis Behera, Bhabani Sankar Jena and Vineet Tripathi decided to take the plunge when peers where only starting to wake up to.

Behera, has worked on the software products side with companies like Novell Software, (a company that pioneered the concept of Local Area Networks) and Mindtree. Complementing him, Jena with his stint in Samsung and was involved in areas like mobile applications, wireless and networking protocol, sensor networking and Web 2.0.

He currently is the global sales and marketing head for FuGenX. Tripathi has worked in different geographies such as US, Europe, Japan, Australia and Middle East and has established and managed offshore development centre for some of the companies like HSBC Bank (in Hong Kong), Real Networks and others.

APPLICATIONS

An example is a Disco App that it has developed for iPhone users. This app allows a user to discover new disco users who are nearby and add them. When your Disco friend is nearby you will receive a notification and is a social app which uses Facebook to fetch user details of people with similar tastes – such as disco music.

FuGenX has developed and tested 200 enterprise Apps and games in Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, BlackBerry and Windows. The company does not share downloaded details, it said that it has developed and tested apps for companies like Vodafone, Sony, UNICEF and others. For Vodafone Germany, they have developed a mobile ‘Go to Meeting’ app to participate in meetings for cellphone users there.

This has caused a rapid shift of focus for many enterprises toward Web-oriented techniques and by 2015, research firm Gartner predicts that 80 per cent of all mobile applications developed will be hybrid or mobile-Web-oriented.

This shift in consumer behaviour is causing the disruption of many traditional business models. Global mobile traffic is projected to grow at an astonishing 26 times over the next five years. “The shifting technology landscape is proving beneficial to us given our focus on emerging technologies like mobile application, mobile games, mobile Web, social media,” says Behera.

Since the company started ops at a time when the crisis was at its worst possible leg, it faced a lot of initial challenges. “We were faced with less business opportunities, small business deals with very minimal profit, no funding opportunity, no bank loans and many small-sized fixed cost projects with high risk of losses, reminisces Behera.

So, in an area where the barrier to entry is relatively low, how does FuGenX differentiate? “If anyone comes to us, we can provide one stop shop for all mobility related solutions regardless of whether it is a startup or a large enterprise,” says Behera.

He explains that it could be mobile related strategy consulting, mobile UI design service, App development in both native and cross platform, game development in 2D and 3D, Web site development / Web API development, smartphone-friendly development services, App promotions and marketing.

FUTURE PLANS

The company plans to invest for global expansion that will include additional hiring, setting up infrastructure and intensifying sales and marketing efforts.

It has offices in the US, India and the UK with and employs about 100 people globally. The firm’s international reach is strengthened through its partner’s networks around the world.

Research firm Gartner estimated that cloud, mobility and open source will drive application development going forward. The market clocked $9 billion in 2012 and with increasing smartphones and tablets, this trend will get additional fillip, according to Gartner.

Full screen Website Backgrounds-The new “Trend”

When it comes to branding;website is the key to gaining an in depth information of what the company is all about and the various services that it provides. Hence a wisely structured website with relevant design is the apt combo to entice the visitors.
The website design is synonymous to any genre of design and hence keeping oneself up to date with the latest trends is surely a must. The artistic use of full screen backgrounds has become a large part of the web design lexicon nowadays. Many different layouts from landing pages to agencies and social networks have used this feature with great success. It’s a fantastic way to draw attention while simultaneously branding a company or project.
Here are a few primary uses for background images and videos. Best practices are in constant growth but have stabilized to focus on usability, user experience, and content priority. You are on the right track with respect to the website if only it is functional the way desired and the background content adds to the overall message.
In general scenario the images or videos form the full screen background that gives site a fascinating appearance as compared to the old classic look. With images one could also include photos, illustrations, or even a moving collage slideshow or carousel. Video is more straightforward but also more difficult to implement with wavering browser support.
For either case an important principle to remember is that backgrounds should remain an accessory and not a necessity. If the full screen image or video were removed, content should still read properly and organize itself accordingly. It’s wise to have fallbacks in place which use a solid color background like a safety net. But at the moment browser support is far-reaching and growing larger with each passing year.

Devika Pragati Group : Office space beyond Decor

The biggest and most important assets of a company i.e., the people and property are greatly influenced by the office design. We shape buildings but they shape us too and this holds true for both residential and commercial spaces where we invest our time. And major portion of waking time is spent in office, which means that it impacts us more than anything else.
Some people look at office as a cost and some look at office as an investment to fetch even more out of the money spent in buying one, but either way, at some point you’re going to have to spend something. So here’s this post for all the individuals who are hunting for new office space to let your expenditure be pleasurable.

A good design reflects the culture of the business and designing would vary based on the area. This indicates the precondition of recognizing the size of office space that is desired based on the number of employees, designing thought as well as the future endeavors of expansion, if any.

The key to perfect design is having spaces that reflect a culture of everything that motivates and drives people. A space with autonomy and flexibility – that’s a space that can transform a business. Subsequently, employers are starting to realize that space can be a tremendous lever. Office space is now being seen as a significant factor in recruiting, maintaining and maximizing talent. If you have big brains working in your building, you want them bumping into each other – not just sitting at a lump of wood. When you create a bit of flexibility, you’re creating a whole new dynamic in the workplace. People feel trusted more when they are given responsibility for their own output, given freedom.

So, make the decision upon exact estimate of space requirement and once you are handed over the property design it in a way that enhances your working experience as well as satiates the staff that they are associated with a firm that cares for them and gives them the space that they can cherish while indulged in the work.
People and property are your best assets. And office space is an investment to boost performance, engagement and aid recruiting and training top staff.

Devika Pragati Group, the best builders in Delhi takes pleasure in launching Commercial spaces that fulfill your desire of a perfect office in grand location.

HT’s Shine.com ropes in a mouse to outshine other job portals

The campaign, created by Dentsu India, promotes its revamped mobile application and aims to increase its user base

HT Media’s job search digital portal, Shine.com, has launched a campaign to promote its revamped mobile application and to increase the website’s user base. The campaign has been conceptualised by Dentsu India.
The company’s new mobile app leverages the strength of a candidate’s social and personal networks to help him find the perfect job. Apart from this feature that increases the chances of recruiters finding the perfect candidate on Shine.com, the jobs site also offers services in employer branding and social hiring. The app helps a person to use personal contacts available on his phone to get in touch with people from the company where he wants to apply.
Shine.com has created a mascot, a mouse called Mr. M, to promote the brand. The campaign comprises three ad films which are laden with humour and sarcasm.
Commenting on the revamped app, Amit Garg, Business Head, Digital, HT Media, said, “For us to give value to jobseekers and recruiters, we are always experimenting with new technology to create brand new solutions that would take the industry ahead. While doing so, our research pointed us to the ‘power of weak ties’, a seminal study that says that your next career move is likely to come from people who are not your closest friends, but are likely to connect you to professional circles that you don’t have access to. Our new app leverages these ‘weak connections’ of a candidate and our consumer proposition says that Shine.com will come to your use where your best friends cannot.”
Garg also added that a lot of attention is given on the development of the mobile app because it is observed that a large part of jobseekers are using mobile apps to look for jobs.
Talking about the idea behind the new campaign, Rajan Bhalla, Group Marketing Head, HT Media, said, “The communication brief was to highlight the large number of jobs that are available on Shine.com and how the website – with its suite of services – is the friend who helps you get to your dream job. To position Shine.com as the #KaamkaDost, we are introducing a new friend for all seasons – a handsome, young, working professional who happens to be a mouse! We have created a series of films that place this mouse in a variety of situations and he offers solutions to find your next job in his trademark cheeky style. By bringing him on as a mascot, we are bringing a fresh new take – different from the typical negativism of the job search category.”

Rohit OhriRohit Ohri

Rohit Ohri, Executive Chairman, Dentsu India and CEO, Dentsu Asia Pacific (South), said, “We’re really excited about the new Shine.com campaign. Conceptualised by Soumitra Karnik and the Dentsu Creative Impact team, the campaign introduces a mascot for brand Shine.com – a mascot who is an innovative thinker and a quick solution provider to everybody’s job-related problems. We’re hoping that Mr M will become a brand property that will give Shine.com memorability, relevance and ultimately leadership in the category.”
The campaign is being promoted through outdoor, print (HT) and radio with special focus on digital via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The three films have been uploaded on YouTube and now will be aired on TV as well.
In the first video, which is 25 seconds long, Mr M, the mascot mouse, is seen with his pet cat, seated on a sofa. He says, no matter how big a cat a person’s best friend is he cannot provide him with a dream job. He looks at a lion show piece kept on the table for agreement. In the other ad, Mr. M is seen relaxing at his work station with cucumber slices on his eyes. He wakes up and states that it has been proven by research that the chances of a job opportunity increase with more options in hand and that is why Shine.com has more than two lakh jobs. He also adds that cucumber is good for the eyes, while going back to his original posture.
The 45-second long ad shows Mr M walking in the office with a coffee mug in hand and talking into the camera. He asks viewers to assume that they are lions and their best friends are also lions. He then declares that none of the lion friends would be able to pull you out from the vicious ‘net’ of finding jobs. But, with a large listing of jobs, Shine.com can.
Shine.com’s database comprises 1.5 crore candidates and it features over 220,000 job openings.
